One also got the chance to play a map where you fought it out on a large Carrier(almost like the Titan on BF2142 but in the sea of course). You could however get the Battlfield2 Digital Delux at some stage which cost about R100 (~$10) which included both Battlefield 2 and BF2:SF.

I'm not sure as to why it was no added to Patch v1.5 but I guess DICE had their reasons. Though it was more popular in other regions like US and EU.Īs far as I can remember Special Forces was the only expansion that was a standalone expansion(aka not needing BF2 base game). I live in South Africa and we had a server running once a week on Wednesday where we got a 64player server going an stacked for about 3 years after its release.
